On a lovely afternoon on Monday 15th August, Gary and Jordie made a special trip down to St. Joseph’s Institution. Our Youth for Causes (YFC) team, MINDS, organised a photo-taking session, as part of a fundraising intiative.

Our YFC team sold GDAB Merchandise and Polaroids at the booth.

A photo with Gary & Jordie went for $3 a polaroid, and $5 for two. All funds raised from this event was donated to GDS.

A “GDS yellow” backdrop was set up in their canteen for the photo booth. Jun Bin, a member of the YFC team, volunteered to take up the role as photographer.

Within an hour, more than 15 students visited the booth. A whole class even took some class photos with their teacher!

The students at St. Joseph’s Institution showed a genuine interest in Gary and Jordie. They took the opportunity to ask them questions about their journey together, and learnt what life is like for guide dog teams in Singapore. The students were well-mannered, and took extra care not to over excite Jordie as he took his rest.

Thank you MINDS for organising this lovely photo-taking session! We had tons of fun and we hope all of the students at St. Joseph’s Institution did too!

P.S. Did you know Jordie has an Instagram account? It is managed by Gary!

Do support and follow them @jordie_the_guide_dog!
