Job Summary

Lead Guide Dogs Singapore as Executive Director to drive strategic growth, operational excellence, fundraising, partnerships, and advocacy, advancing inclusion and independence for people with visual impairments.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategic plans to drive organisational growth and ensure long-term sustainability
Lead fundraising initiatives, engage donors, and cultivate corporate partnerships to secure financial support
Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with government agencies, community organisations, and key stakeholders to advance organisational goals
Oversee programme delivery to ensure high-quality services and positive outcomes for beneficiaries
Manage financial performance, governance, and compliance to uphold organisational integrity and accountability
Inspire, develop, and lead a team of staff and volunteers to achieve mission objectives effectively
Advocate for accessibility, inclusion, and awareness for people with visual impairments in the community

Preferred competencies and qualifications

Proven senior leadership experience in nonprofit, social service, healthcare, education, or related sectors
Demonstrated success in fundraising, stakeholder engagement, and partnership development
Strong business acumen with financial management expertise
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Experience collaborating with boards and governance structures

Job Opening: Executive/Senior Executive, Community Partnership

Role Overview

The Community Partnership Executive plays a key role in the planning and execution of impactful fundraising campaigns, community engagement programmes, and public outreach initiatives that uplift and empower the visually impaired community.

Requirements:

Self-motivated and proactive – eager to learn, take initiative, and work effectively in a team environment
Strong research and analytical skills – able to conduct independent research to support campaigns and initiatives
Excellent communication and writing abilities – strong interpersonal skills to engage donors, stakeholders, and the community (proficiency in Mandarin is a bonus)
Tech-savvy and proficient in Microsoft Office – skilled in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel for reports, presentations, and data management
Organised, detail-oriented, and resourceful – capable of multitasking and managing multiple projects efficiently
Creative with an eye for design – experience in artwork creation or an interest in design is a plus
A Degree/Diploma in Marketing, Communications, or related disciplines
Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience; candidates with more experience will be considered for a senior position
Flexibility to work occasional weekends and evenings for events and outreach activities (time off in-lieu will be granted)

Responsibilities:

Design and execute strategies to expand fundraising efforts, engage the public, and increase community outreach
Lead the planning and execution of impactful community events, digital campaigns, and corporate engagement initiatives
Manage and curate content across corporate websites and social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok) to enhance engagement and awareness
Develop communication materials, including e-newsletters, appeal letters, and other donor engagement tools
Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders, such as funders, corporate partners, government agencies, and the public
Oversee the production and upkeep of marketing assets, including brochures, banners, and signage
Support the team with administrative duties for outreach to donors, clients, partners, volunteers and government agencies with the aim to meet the company's mission and objectives

Volunteer, Temporary Carers/Boarders

We are seeking to expand our volunteers for GDS Guide Dog Programme.

CRITERIA

Applicants have to be above 21 years of age.
Time. Guide Dogs are used to being with their handlers all day; 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Thus, they should not be left alone for more than 3 hours a day.
If you intend to take the Guide Dog to work with you, do get written approval from your employers that you have permission to do so.
You need to be moderately fit and physically healthy. Although Guide Dogs are generally well behaved, they are still medium sized dogs and you need to be able to manage them.
Provide a safe environment for the Guide Dog to be in. This will be assessed through a home assessment by one of our staff. If the Guide Dog is to be brought to your office, an assessment of your office environment will also be done.
The Guide Dog is to be allowed to sleep indoors in a well-ventilated area.
Children in the household should be of at least school-going age (i.e. 5 years and above).
Existing family pets need to be fully vaccinated and de-wormed. They have to also be compatible with the Guide Dog.
