Overview
Are you passionate about technology and making a difference? We are looking for an IT trainer to work with low vision clients in a one-on-one setting and co-create and lead workshops. Whether you are sighted or have low vision yourself, we welcome you to apply. If you have a passion for teaching and technology, we will provide all necessary training on low vision assistive technology.
Responsibilities:
- Provide personalised IT training to low vision clients
- Co-create and lead engaging workshops on IT topics tailored to the needs of low vision learners
- Co-create and participate in the production of audio clips as useful resources for low vision audiences
- Full training will be provided if you have no prior experience with assistive technology
Requirements:
- A passion for technology and helping others
- Strong communication and teaching skills
- Willingness to learn new technologies and assistive tools (training will be provided)
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Willing and able to work on some weekends and evenings
- Patient, empathetic and resourceful
Compensation:
- Hourly rate: $20 – $30 (depending on experience and role)
- Flexible working hours with the possibility of remote or in-person training
