It is starting to look like the most wonderful time of the year – a time for gathering with loved ones and spending quality time together. We are immensely thankful for the supporters and donors who journeyed with us throughout the year.
At Guide Dogs Singapore (GDS), we believe that people with vision impairment (VI) are more than their disability and should not be limited. Because of your long-standing support, we can continue assisting our VI clients in regaining their independence, enabling them to reintegrate back into society.
Join us this Season of Giving (SOG) 2022 from December to January, as we empower the VI community to regain their mobility and enjoy the holiday season just like everyone else. Your gift to us provides our VI clients with a chance to show us that there are no boundaries to what they can achieve.
Donate today and your donation will be matched by Tote Board $1 for $1, meaning when you donate $100, we will receive $200 in total! A small contribution can make a huge difference in someone’s life.
All direct donations to GDS of minimum $20 are eligible for a 250% tax exemption. Tax-deductible donations are to be made by 31 December 2022 to be included in the tax assessment for 2022.

Zahier, GDS Client, playing the guitar.
“My interest in guitar playing started when I was taking my ‘A’ Levels and I’ve been playing the guitar all these years as it has given me a sense of emotional support and it’s something for me to be proud of because it’s a talent that not everyone has. GDS has provided me with a platform to showcase my talents and I’ve performed for three of their events. They have also enabled me to make more friends in the vision impaired community.”

Bessie, GDS Guide Dog Handler, giving a speech with Guide Dog Jade beside her.
“Jade is a precious gift to me and I thank GDS and its donors for giving me the gift of mobility and companionship. I am grateful that I was given the courage to work with Jade, who has helped me cope with my vision loss greatly. Thanks to GDS and my Guide Dog, Jade, I am more confident in travelling around Singapore independently. Looking forward to spending our first holiday season together! ”
