Help us become guide dog heroes campaign banner

Guide dogs are four-legged heroes living among us. They change the lives of people with vision impairment (VI) by helping them to regain their freedom and live the life they choose confidently.

From 1 March to 31 May 2023, help us raise the next generation of guide dog heroes. Let’s celebrate the important role guide dogs play in supporting people with VI, providing hope, independence, and enhancing their overall quality of life.

Your support will make a life-changing transformation for our clients who hope to live the independent life they desire. All donations to GDS during our campaign period till 31 May 2023 are matched dollar-for-dollar by Tote Board. This means when you donate $100, GDS will receive $200 in total and your contribution will double in its impact.

All direct donations to GDS of minimum $20 are eligible for a 250% tax exemption.

“Eve has been my eyes and unwavering companion. With her by my side, I’ve rediscovered the world with newfound confidence. I trust that Eve can confidently navigate through obstacles and keep me safe during travel. She has given me the gift of independence, allowing me to embark on morning runs with ease and joy.

Besides helping me with travelling, Laurie also provide me with emotional support and I know that I will always have a trustworthy companions by my side.”

GDS has been responsible for successfully training and pairing 10 guide dog teams in our history, of which 5 are currently active. A steadily increasing number of potential clients have also joined our waiting list. We rely mostly on donations to fund our work, and every dollar you donate brings us closer to pairing them with guide dogs.

Your kind donation will make a life-changing transformation for our clients who hope to have the same independence that Thomas and Alvin experience with their guide dogs. If you would like to help raise funds for us to continue providing lifelong, sustainable support to the vision impaired community, here’s how you can make a donation via our online portals:
